Jovovich-Hawk.

Fell in love with this dress the moment Target announced Jovovich-Hawk as the new GO Collection. Luckily I ordered this dress day 1 it was available online :) Drove down to the madre's casa on Sunday. My mom asked if I just came from church :) Its funny that everytime I visit her on Sunday wearing a dress she automatically assumes this.

Another spring day :) Thank you weather! I bought this skirt at my local F21 a couple weeks back and decided that today was the perfect weather for it's debut. After running around town I remembered I had to do a listing on eBay for some lovely vintage boots that I must part with. I slightly altered my outfit to incorporate the boots. You could find this listing here. After taking these photos the boots do look very appealing :)

1 year old party.

Attended my god-daughter's first birthday today. For the past week I've been on a hunt to add to her "Princess" theme gift. Instead of wrapping them individually I decided to go with the gift-basket look. Turned out pretty good!

Here are six of my ‘quirks’

1. I hate peanut butter, but love nutter butter cookies. Everytime I see someone eat toast with PB it looks so good, but then I try it and remember why I hate it.

2. I'm obsessed with Hello Kitty. Really obsessed. I've loved her since the first day she came out (I was a itty baby still).

3. I've lived in the same city all my life (and LOVE it). There's always something new that I have not yet seen/tried/or been to.

4. I take the train to work because I hate driving long distance (my work is about 45 min. away). I consider a 15 mile radius my driving zone; otherwise I consider it "too far." The only time i'll drive further than my radius is when visitng with familia or partying with the BFFs.

5. I become OCD about my kitchen. Just something about putting things where they are in that room only makes me feel tingly inside :). Of course I wish I had this disorder about my closet.

6. I love love LOVE rap music. Gangster rap. My husband laughs everytime I rap along in the car :)

Summer's in the air...everywhere I go.

Okay maybe spring. LOL. Today started off bad with the previous train having yet another accident. Both tracks were delayed for 2 hours!!! I then called the boss lady and asked to telecommute. Man, 2 hours!!! However, the day quickly turned wonderful with thrifting, gift shopping, and Panera Bread. Yum.

The lovely lizziethegreat featured me in her blog today referncing my denim post. I can't express how flattered I feel! Thank you!! She did a great job of incorporating the denim skirt.

Tomorrow is a MAC filled day. I did a post a while back regarding my obsession with makeup. Well, tomorrow my local MAC counter is hosting an event for their Naughty Nauticals line of makeup. See here for more info on this line. Temptalia is a great site. Love everything on it! Tomorrow's event is a class on makeup. I take the classes whenever I hear about them to learn new techniques and play with the new colors. MAC normally hosts these events around the debut of a makeup line. However, not all debuts will have an event. You'll need to make friends with a MAC artist or stop by and ask if you're ever around one. Highly recommend these classes. I'll post a few of the things and thoughts they tell us tomorrow.

Teal Obsession

Pop of Spring.

Another day, another dollar.

Ahh, the dreaded Monday. Always jam packed with new deadlines. My least favorite day of the week.

On a fashion note....the day of the Thread Show there was a huge thrift sale extravaganza next door. After the bestie and I left Thread I had to go see what exactly this thrift sale extravaganza consisted of. Man, oh, man. HEAVEN! There were TONS of stuff. To sum it up let's just say they took tons of thrift and vintage stores and put them under one roof. Sadly we didn't have enough time to stay and look around much, but I did score this wonderful navy blue vintage blazer wiuth gold accent buttons (which by the way i've been on a HUGE hunt for!!!). Thank you vintage gods!

Eye see you.

Off to the eye doctor. I have a strange white dot on my pupil that appeared yesturday. This is the cause for my glasses wearing (aka HD vision). Its really bothersome. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I'll do a post about the fun-filled adventure I had yesturday :)

Denim.

Ah, the denim skirt. At one point in time, this was the "it" item. Especially for all you previous (or still continuous) Abercrombie/Hollister fans out there. I too fall under this shadow being casted; for my case i'm a previous fan that still LOVES the items saved from working there.

As noted in a previous blog, working in Abercrobie led me to finding my husband. Working in Abercrombie also meant that denim skirts were the "it" thing during my brief tenure with the company. But today, I decided to bring it back. As I was going through my closet, and there I saw it. Calling my name as the seams hung down. I grabbed the skirt and immediately recalled all the past and fun memories we had. Then I thought, "Hmmm, i'm gonna rock this at school today!" So I did just that.
