Stripes for Work.

Stripes and Pleats, yum! You can't really tell in this photo, but my skirt is pleated. Does anyone know an easier way to iron out the pleats? This past weekend the hubby and I went thrifting at my favorite store. Scored some slouchy suede boots!!! The moment I laid eyes on them I quickly recalled Isabel Marant's FW 08 line. Oh how I love those boots; I'm hoping one day i'll find a pair in tan :) I also scored some Nine West ankle boots, which have yet to make their debut.

Extreme Home Makeover.

Out with the old in with the new.

The hubby and I took on a project to redecorate our bedroom before he left for school. We frolicked around Bed Bath and Beyond like kids in a toy store and found lots of good stuff. The plus side is we found discounted good stuff :) I felt as though we were on that "Design on a Dime" show on HGTV! I'll admit I do love those home shows on both HGTV and TLC. I will have to post an after photo of our new digs. Please excuse the wires :) We also rewired our surround sound in the living area.

F21 Haul.

I caved yet again.

Stopped by the infamous F21 by my place. Its infamous for the vast majority of Marines who raid this mall during pay day. Luckly for me, I'm on a different pay schedule and avoid the mall the days the government get paid.

F21 has been my one-stop shop for mainly accesories and basics not found in thrift stores. Occasionally I'll see a dress that catches my eye, and usually oogle for it until I finally convince myself that I have to have it. Other times I'll see a cute skirt with just the perfect waist and puffyness to it. Majority of the times I scope the F21 jewelry counter for....everything. Oh yes, and we can't forgot the scarfs, leggings and stockings. Aside from Target, F21 is my number 2 store for such items.

Things i've hauled back home (hoping the hubby doesn't notice the bright yellow bag):

• The most widest leg, semi-hi waisted denim jeans. They are a little loose around the waist, but nothing a trusted sewing machine can't fix.
• DOTS. An extremely puffy polk-dotted high-waisted skirt.
• Cabana/Fedora straw hat with the perfect shade of tan along with a scarf of green.
• BOWS. Yup headband with bows on them. I love being a girly girl. Who doesn't?!?!?!
• Trinkets and chains. I scored this lovely charm bracelet at the bottom of the bracelet bowl. What luck as it is exactly what i've been looking for [not really], but it is really cute

Of course I loved the hat and bracelet so much that I wore it back home. What are you all eyeing to haul back home?

J-O-B.

Another day, another dollar. I feel cold about 90% of the time no matter what season. This is the reasoning behind my constant wear of leggings or stockings at work. It is pretty cold in the morning; I'm out of my house by 5:40 a.m. to catch the 6:05 a.m. coaster. Since the sun isn't out it gets REALLY cold. In the office, its just cold. Apprarently some people like to have the AC on blast. Wierdos. It does feel good to step out at noon for lunch and be exposed to the warmth of the sun.

Princess.

I like to think i'm a princess most days. I'm sure we all do :)

Saw this headband at Kohls the other day while shopping for bedding. I never really looked at the Simply Vera Wang line at Kohls, but i'll admit that I am loving the accessories. Cheap and chic; my two favorite categories. I wore the headband out the store because I loved it so much :) Another sunny day in the city, here's to hoping for no rain next week...
